The Dalry Experience
What Dalry puppy owners have to say
I decided on a Dalry Toller as the next addition
to my family for a variety of reasons. Natural
rearing is #1 on my list along with a real, raw
diet and Dalry Duck Tollers provided me with
both along with a thoughtful, well planned
breeding.
I waited nearly a year to bring Rowdy home.
During that time Laura of Dalry DuckTollers was
always patient and ready to share knowledge
and information with me.
Rowdy is my 3rd Toller and he is a joy to own.

We've known Laura and Darryl for almost 6 years. We became friends
shortly after getting our first Toller, Scout, from a breeder in Vancouver,
who we still have a close relationship with.
Living in the North, the only way South passes by Laura and Darryl's
home, so each time we pass by we stop, and have had many great
visits over the last 6 years. We've learned so much from Laura, in her
quiet way, educating us in training, clicker training, raw food etc. She
was always ready and eager to answer any and all questions, no
matter how silly. This was all done even though she wasn't the breeder
of Scout.
It happened over time that when we ever thought of getting a second
Toller, it would be from Laura, if possible, if we couldn't get one from our
original breeder. We were so lucky to have already had a friendship
with Laura, that when Laura's Chime was having a litter, we were
pleased to be included on Laura's potential puppy buyer list for our next
hunting Toller. We knew from previous discussions, that it is the
breeder who picks the right puppy and do we have the right puppy for
us. We call her Abbey and she is the smartest little Toller, who loves the
scent of ducks already. To say she is a delight, doesn't cover it. We
can't imagine life without her.
Thank you Laura. Gary, Linda, Scout and Abbey

What can I say about a "Dalry Duck Toller"?
I liked the first Toller so much I got another. I have a 2002 and a 2004 model. Got
them both with very few miles on them right off the lot! The 02 is a Male who goes by
the call name "Nemo". He is a CKC Champion and competes in Agility. The 04 is a
pretty female named "Penny". She became part of our family as a companion for our
first Toller and has secured her own place in our hearts.
I grew up with Tollers as a boy and when I decided to get my own dog (when I grew
up at 45 yrs) I knew what breed I wanted, it was just a matter of where to get it from.
Like most people nowadays when faced with an important question in our lives I
turned to the "God of Knowledge" whose name shall be "Google", and was blessed
with lots of information and way too many choices. As luck would have it I ended up
talking to Laura Norie of "Dalry Duck Tollers".
From the first phone conversation we hit it off in grand fashion. Laura was friendly, full
of information and very good about sharing it. I knew that this was where I wanted to
get my Toller from. We got our first Toller from Dalry Duck Tollers almost 5 years ago
and have spent time with Laura and Darryl each year, traveling to dog shows, sharing
holidays or having them dog sit for us.
Now knowing where to get your Toller from is important for more than just getting it. I
have a great love of the Toller breed from growing up with them and as such I really
appreciate to this day, the source of continued expert opinion Laura gives me. It's
almost like I got an extended warranty and bumper to bumper coverage for life. When
you read "Quality Tollers" you need to know that those are not just words that look
good on a website. You can't just buy a Dalry Toller; you have to qualify to get one.
Expect to have a long conversation about why you want a Toller and if it is the right
dog for you and your home. In the end no dog will go to a home where it will not
match up for the owner and dog. Laura is like a Toller matchmaker; the goal is to have
a happy Toller in a happy home.
People get dogs for many reasons, for pets or competition of many kinds but most, if
not all pet owners, end up loving their puppies as members of the family. The best
thing I can say about Laura is that if ever I need any information or help in caring for
my Tollers, I go to her for guidance. Laura has always been there for me and the
Breed as a whole. Laura will always tell you what she is "thinkin' and I can't think of
any issue to do with Tollers she has not already had experience with or thought about.
One final thing to add, we got our Tollers from Dalry Duck Tollers but ended up getting
lifelong friends as well. How many car salesmen can you call your friend 5 years later?
